At ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video, Fabricio Andrade will get a second shot at the ONE bantamweight world championship when he faces John Lineker in a rematch.
After their first fight ended in a no-contest, the two Brazilians will try and settle the score on February 24 in what is sure to be another exciting bout.
Fabricio Andrade was full of confidence going into ONE Fight Night 3 and his performance against Lineker the first time around has only built on that. ‘Wonder Boy’ dominated the majority of the fight. That gives him a psychological edge going into the rematch where it is up to his opponent to make the contest play out differently.
One aspect of their second fight that will make it different for Andrade is the stage itself that they will be competing on. ONE Fight Night 7 will be hosted at the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, with the fights themselves swapping out the cage for a boxing ring.

In an interview with SCMP MMA, Andrade spoke about how he is looking forward to competing in a totally new environment this time around:
“Yeah, it's my first time fighting there. My first fight in Bangkok was in Impact Arena. But yeah, it's exciting. Fighting in the ring as well. I think that's more exciting though. It wasn't a cage in Lumpinee, it's a bit different, but in a ring, it's cool, it's going to be exciting.”

Fabricio Andrade talks about being on the verge of victory in first fight against John Lineker
In his first fight with John Lineker, Fabricio Andrade was seemingly mere moments away from having his hand raised as the new ONE bantamweight world champion.
At ONE on Prime Video 3, Andrade delivered a great performance in the biggest fight of his career to date.
After dominating the majority of the contest, Andrade nearly finished his opponent with his trademark knee to the body, but his follow-up shot landed low to the groin of Lineker and ended the fight in a no-contest.
Despite his performance, Andrade had failed to win the world championship. However, he did gain valuable experience that he could use in his rematch and in future fights.
Andrade told SCMP MMA:
“I know I was winning the fight. Because until the point that happened, I was comfortable. At the beginning of the fight, I was rushing a little bit, but by the third round, I decided to find the pace. And then I was like if I fight like this, he is not going to touch me, and I'm going to knock him out soon. So I keep doing that. And then that happens.”
At ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video, Fabricio Andrade knows what he has to do because, for the most part, he did it the first time out. However, this time he will try to leave with the bantamweight world championship wrapped around his waist.
