Two months on from ONE on Prime Video 3, Fabricio Andrade has had some time to reflect on the event. In his sixth fight inside the circle, ‘Wonder Boy’ challenged John Lineker with the ONE bantamweight world championship on the line.
Though he put on a great performance in his biggest test to date, it was a bittersweet night for Andrade. After nearly finishing his opponent, a knee landed low to Lineker’s groin. When he couldn’t continue, the fight was waved off as a no contest.
‘Wonder Boy’ was moments away from becoming a world champion, but he will get his chance to rectify the result when he faces Lineker in a rematch at ONE on Prime Video 7.
In an interview with The MMA Superfan, Fabricio Andrade spoke about how he looks back on the fight and how he has had time to plan out the future:

“Also the fact that now I step back will help me to reflect about everything, think about the future, because it’s just like you get there and you don’t know what’s the next step so it was good for me to think what I’m gonna do after I win the belt.”

“That’s going to be interesting” - Fabricio Andrade hints at Anatoly Malykhin’s future plans after beatdown of Reinier de Ridder
Fabricio Andrade has developed a good partnership with Anatoly Malykhin during their time at Tiger Muay Thai. Both fighters have helped each other to prepare for their recent world championship fights.
Russia’s Anatoly Malykhin stole the headlines at ONE on Prime Video 5 by knocking out Reinier de Ridder in the first round, taking his light heavyweight world championship in the process. Malykhin is now a double champion after already holding the interim heavyweight belt.
Now holding the cards after his incredible performance, Malykhin appears to seemingly have two options for his next fight. He could choose to remain at light heavyweight and defend his newly acquired world championship or return to heavyweight to try and unify the world titles against Arjan Bhullar.
Fabricio Andrade, who has spent a lot of time around Malykhin, said that there is a third option that he would lean towards.
In an interview with ONE, Andrade explained that he thinks 'Sladkiy' wants a third world title. 'Wonder Boy' said:
"Standing up, he [Malykhin] has too much knockout power, you know? I think now he wants to drop down to get his third belt. That’s going to be interesting."
After already taking one of Reinier de Ridder’s world championships, he could potentially move down to middleweight to face the Dutchman for his other title belt.
Meanwhile, Fabricio Andrade will fight in a rematch with John Lineker at ONE on Prime Video 7 after their first fight ended in a no contest.
