Brazil's top prospect Fabricio Andrade is gearing up for his highly anticipated bantamweight title fight rematch with John Lineker. He believes he'll dominate just as he did prior to the fight-ending groin strike in their first meeting.
The 25-year-old top contender seemed to be closing in on a finish before landing an accidental low blow on the former champ. 'Wonder Boy' feels as though he was seconds away from securing his first world title.
He and Lineker are now scheduled to run it back at ONE on Prime Video 7 in what is one of the most hyped matchups of 2023. Andrade recently spoke with The MMA Superfan about his thoughts on the rematch, stating:
“I don’t think he can make any adjustments, you know, because his game has been like this for many years, you know. He cannot just change his whole style in a couple of months.”

Fabricio Andrade staying laser-focused ahead of his rematch with John Lineker
As most people spent the holidays with their families, Andrade spent it in the gym preparing for his rematch with John Lineker. The rising star sharpens his skills at Tiger Muay Thai, a world-renowned gym in Phuket, Thailand.
The Brazilian revealed how he spent his holiday season in an interview with ONE:
“You know I’ve been doing that for so long, I’ve been living out of Brazil for more than five years now and like a couple of years ago I didn’t have enough money to travel to go see my family. So I just used to train, and actually I don’t have a holiday so I just keep doing what I’m doing.”
Fabricio Andrade added:
“For this time, I actually could go and I could even stay with them but because of the fight I just chose to stay focused. So when I’m finished I can go and see them.”
Since entering the promotion in 2020, 'Wonder Boy' has picked up five wins, including over top five contender Kwon Won Il.
