Considering what went down in their first encounter, Fabricio Andrade believes John Lineker is feeling a lot of pressure heading into their rematch later this week.
The two top Brazilian fighters face off again for the vacant ONE bantamweight world title on February 24 in Bangkok. It is a do-over of their initial world championship clash that took place last October but ended in a no-contest.
In a pre-event interview for the showdown happening at the famed Lumpinee Boxing Stadium, Fabricio Andrade said:

“His head won't be in a good place. We are a few days away from the fight. He knows what is in front of him. So, of course, he's afraid, and I don't know what is happening inside his head. But the fact that he didn't show up today [for the interview] and that he's saying this or that doesn't make sense. Again, we can try to understand what is happening to him right now."
Prior to the abrupt end to their first match, Fabricio Andrade was dominating Lineker with his effective distance game. However, an accidental groin strike by Andrade midway into the contest prevented a conclusive end to their bout. 'Hands of Stone' had his moments, but for much of the time, he was puzzled and on the defensive against 'Wonder Boy.' In the lead-up to the rematch, Andrade vowed to remain aggressive but more precise in his attacks to not have a repeat of their first encounter.

Fabricio Andrade confident he finishes John Lineker inside the distance - “I don't believe I need 25 minutes”
Fabricio Andrade will go for a finish against John Lineker in their rematch for the vacant ONE bantamweight world title later this week, and he intends to do it inside the distance.
'Wonder Boy' goes after the bantamweight belt once again at ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video on February 24 in Bangkok after his first title showdown with 'Hands of Stone' last October ended in a no-contest.
Fabricio Andrade is determined to give their rematch a proper ending by finishing Lineker withing 25 minutes. He said in a pre-event interview for ONE Fight Night 7:
“I'm going to take my time. I have 25 minutes to finish him. I don't believe I need 25 minutes to finish him. But I'm just going to be patient, and I'm going to be ready to knock him out in any set of this fight.”
The first showdown between the two top bantamweight contenders ended in a no-contest as Lineker was unable to continue after being hit with an accidental knee in the groin in the third round.
Fabricio Andrade said he is going all-out in the do-over at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium to begin his reign as bantamweight king and complete a mission that he has set since making his promotional debut in 2020.
