‘Wonder Boy’ Fabricio Andrade promises that John Lineker will be easier to defeat in the rematch, especially after figuring him out in their first meeting at ONE on Prime Video 3.
This past October at the Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur, the 25-year-old stalwart proved that power and strength alone can't win fights anymore. Setting the bar quite high with his mesmerizing performance against former ONE bantamweight world champion John Lineker, Fabricio Andrade is confident that he’ll only get better from here.
Despite not getting the knockout finish he anticipated due to a no-contest ruling, he was quick to remind himself and his fans that he’s still relatively new to the sport.

In an exclusive interview with the South China Morning Post, ‘Wonder Boy’ explained:
“MMA is different. I’m still starting. Sometimes I forget about it and people forget about it. I just have 11 fights so I’m still learning a lot about everything. All the small details. I think there are still a lot of areas to improve. I can make Lineker look easy and I didn’t do that in the fight. I’m going to do that in the rematch.”
Even though Andrade doesn’t have the belt wrapped around his waist yet, he is, without a doubt, the top dog to beat for the bantamweight world title.
With 8 career wins that include three knockouts and one submission in ONE Championship, the youngster manifests a drive like no other to be Brazil’s next world champion. Falling back on his striking prowess, excellent fight IQ, and athleticism, Andrade makes even the most experienced fighter in MMA wary about confronting him inside the circle.
Fabricio Andrade proved that he’s the new prototype for the next generation of MMA fighters
As mentioned above, Fabricio Andrade has set the bar higher than ever in the bantamweight division. The self-proclaimed “uncrowned king” is exceptional all-around and technically sound.
Although he hasn’t really been challenged on the ground yet, Andrade’s got a couple of submission wins on his record to suggest that he’s just as dangerous on the ground as he is in his standup.
Only a few fighters his age have made it to this point in their careers in just two years. Fabricio Andrade defeated accomplished MMA fighters like Jeremy Pacatiw and Shoko Sato and made it look easy.
In just six appearances for the promotion, the brash-talking Brazilian has been picking his opponents apart one by one, proving he’s a world-class MMA fighter in today’s era:
“I know I’m the best guy in the division right now. For me, Lineker was the most feared guy at ONE because of his knockout power and his history. I always wanted to fight him because I wanted to prove I was better than him. I knew I was better than him, and I went out there and proved it.”
