Fabricio Andrade is ecstatic about ONE Championship’s upcoming U.S. debut.
ONE has announced their first event in the United States is scheduled for May 5, 2023. ONE on Prime Video 10 will be headlined by Demetrious Johnson vs. Adriano Moraes III inside the 1stBank Center in Broomfield, Colorado.
During an interview with ONE, Andrade had this to say about the promotion’s U.S. expansion:
“We were already expecting ONE to do an event in the U.S. in 2023, but receiving the news that it will happen is something very gratifying, as it shows that ONE is growing. It's great news, and it makes me really excited to hear that ONE is growing so much.”

Andrade’s next fight will be a rematch against John Lineker for the ONE bantamweight world title. If ‘Wonder Boy’ avoids significant damage against Lineker in February, he might be able to fight three months later in ONE’s U.S. debut.

Fabricio Andrade is interested in potentially fighting Demetrious Johnson
Fabricio Andrade has emerged as a superstar for ONE Championship. Depending on the result of his rematch against John Lineker, ‘Wonder Boy’ could end up with super-fight opportunities in 2023.
During an interview with ONE, Andrade was asked about potentially fighting Demetrious ‘Mighty Mouse’ Johnson. He responded by saying:
“I would definitely consider fighting him. He's a legend of the sport, he has a huge history in MMA. So, having the possibility to fight him would be a very good thing for my career. But there is the issue of weight difference. I don't know if I could get down to his division, and I also don't know if he's interested in moving up, but if there was any possibility of this fight happening, I would really like it.”
Andrade recently revealed he plans to beat John Lineker in February and then fight top contender Stephen Loman next. Any hopes of a meeting between Andrade and Johnson may only be possible towards the end of the year, as ‘Mighty Mouse’ will be in action in May at ONE on Prime Video 10.
