For second-ranked ONE bantamweight contender ‘Wonder Boy’ Fabricio Andrade, working with some of mixed martial arts’ top-tier talents at Tiger Muay Thai in Phuket, Thailand, has made all the difference in his development as a fighter. After all, it’s true what they say - iron sharpens iron.

The 25-year-old Brazilian dynamo is one of the most exciting fighters in ONE Championship, and he’s certainly on the rise. But he would never have reached this point in his career if it weren’t for those who have helped him along the way.

In an interview with Andrew Whitelaw of Asian MMA, Andrade talked about working with some big names, including UFC veterans Petr Yan and Jose Aldo. ‘Wonder Boy’ said:

“Yeah, I haven't been training with [Petr Yan] for a while but I trained with him maybe two weeks ago. And that for sure gave me a lot of confidence when it comes to fights. Because I know the level I am [on now]."

“And also going to Brazil and training with Jose Aldo and all those upcoming bantamweights as well. So I've been around a lot of people, and see our stuff as well. That gives me a lot of confidence not just in the level I am right now, but in how good I still can get if I keep doing what I'm doing and training.”

Not only has Fabricio Andrade trained with Yan and Aldo, two legends in their own right, but he also constantly works with ONE interim heavyweight world champion Anatoly Malykhin, top ONE lightweight Timofey Nastyukhin, and other big ONE Championship stars at Tiger Muay Thai.

Fabricio Andrade gunning for ONE Championship gold against John Lineker

Brazilian hotshot ‘Wonder Boy’ Fabricio Andrade burst onto the scene at ONE Championship in 2020 and has now won five straight, including three straight first-round knockouts in his last three fights. This incredible run has earned him a shot at the bantamweight division’s throne.

Andrade is set to challenge reigning ONE bantamweight world champion John ‘Hands of Stone’ Lineker in the main event of ONE on Prime Video 3, which will be broadcast live on Prime Video from the Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on Friday, October 21.

The 25-year-old is more than ready to seize the moment and capture his first world title. Speaking to ONE Championship in a recent interview, Fabricio Andrade talked about what separates him from Lineker in terms of skill and technique:

“The biggest difference is the variety I bring to a fight. I use my boxing, I kick, I use the elbows, the knee. So, the diversity of weapons I bring to the fight will be the biggest difference between my striking and his.”
