On Friday night, Fabricio Andrade finally reached the top of the mountain in ONE Championship, capturing the ONE bantamweight world championship in a rematch for the ages at ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video.

Once again meeting division rival John ‘Hands of Stone’ Lineker, ‘Wonder Boy’ was able to fend off an early attack from Lineker en route to a TKO finish after his opponent failed to answer the call for the fifth and final round. Lineker’s corner opted to throw in the towel after Fabricio Andrade’s fourth-round barrage left his vision compromised.

Following his spectacular fourth-round TKO victory over John Lineker to capture the ONE bantamweight world championship, Fabricio Andrade was joined in the ring by ONE commentator Mitch Chilson to share his thoughts on finally achieving his dream of becoming a ONE world champion.

“I have no words to try and explain what this means to me. It’s been such a long journey. So many hard things I’ve been through in my life with the dream to get here and become a world champion, to be able to change my life and my family’s life. It’s unbelievable. I don’t know how to try to explain what I’m feeling right now.”

Fabricio Andrade’s ONE world title win caps off a spectacular night of fights

Fabricio Andrade’s spectacular ONE world title win on Friday night capped off a night of incredible fights as ONE Championship returned to the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Thailand.

In the co-main event of the evening, ONE featherweight Muay Thai titleholder Tawanchai PK.Saenchai once again showed the world why he is arguably the greatest Muay Thai fighter in the world. It only took 49 seconds and one well-placed leg kick to put away tenured Turkish striker Jamal Yusupov.

Fan-favorite Martin ‘The Situ-Asian’ Nguyen delighted the crowd in Bangkok by scoring a much-needed win over late-notice replacement Leonardo Casotti. Danny Kingad once again established himself as one of the most feared men in the flyweight division with a brilliant performance against Eko Ron Saputra.

Not to be outdone by the men on the card, submission grappling star Danielle Kelly scored her second straight win. Kelly faced some early adversity against the bigger and stronger Ayaka Miura, but in the end, Kelly was able to secure a unanimous decision win after threatening Miura with a rear-naked choke as the clock expired.
