Fabricio Andrade may not be fighting in his native Brazil, but the No. 1 ranked bantamweight couldn’t be happier with the location of his February 24 showdown with former ONE world champion John ‘Hands of Stone’ Lineker

At ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video, Fabricio Andrade will step into the circle in front of an ecstatic crowd at the legendary Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok for a ONE bantamweight world title main event.

In an interview with the South China Morning Post, ‘Wonder Boy’ shared his excitement over competing in his home away from home later this month:

“I'm happy to fight here. If I had to pick a place besides Brazil, it would be Thailand. I'm really excited to fight here and I've been living here for five years. A lot of my friends are here, and it's going to be exciting to have everybody there. I actually got really happy with the news that I was fighting Bangkok.”

Fabricio Andrade is only focused on ONE Fight Night 7 showdown with John Lineker

ONE Championship aims to crown a new ONE bantamweight world champion after the belt was vacated in October. Fabricio Andrade knows that should he emerge victorious at ONE Fight Night 7, he’ll quickly have a target on his back and a slew of potential ONE world title challengers. However, for now, Fabricio Andrade is keeping his focus on the task at hand and not on what is waiting around the corner:

“There are a lot of options, but what matters now is what is in front of me and that's John Lineker. So I need to go there. I need to knock him out. And after that, I'm going to sit with ONE Championship and we're going to see what is the best thing to do after.”

Though nothing has been announced, Stephen ‘The Sniper’ Loman is likely the next man up to challenge for the ONE bantamweight world championship. Loman is riding a three-fight win streak in ONE Championship. He scored the biggest win of his career in November, earning a unanimous decision over ONE icon Bibiano Fernandes at ONE on Prime Video 4.
