Amid rumors of his return to the Octagon, Nick Diaz is holding nothing back. The 41-year-old recently took to social media to send out a stern warning to his peers.
Despite not competing since 2021, Diaz promoted an interview he conducted on his social media channels on Aug. 29. The post ignited a flurry of reactions, causing the Stockton native to respond to critical fans in the comments.
One fan called Diaz "soft," commenting:

"Nick Diaz turned soft"
Diaz responded, writing back:
"Your mom is soft"
In the caption of his post, Diaz said he planned on "hunting down" all the fighters who criticized him once he was done with his current matchup. Diaz did not specify who his current matchup was, but he was scheduled to face Vicente Luque at UFC Abu Dhabi before the fight was canceled.
Is Nick Diaz returning to the UFC?
Despite not winning a fight since 2011, Nick Diaz has resurfaced in 2024 and claims to be ready to return to the cage. After his bout with Vicente Luque fell through, Diaz remains adamant that he will still compete soon, but no official announcement has been made.
Should he return to the Octagon in 2024 or even 2025, it is unclear if the UFC intends to keep Diaz's matchup with Luque intact or match him up with a new opponent.
Diaz last fought at UFC 266 in 2021, losing to Robbie Lawler by third-round retirement TKO. He was scheduled to fight Luque at welterweight, the weight class he spent most of his career in, but has not successfully cut down to 170 pounds since his title fight with Georges St.-Pierre in 2013.
