The UFC 285 event last weekend turned out to be incredibly lucky for a fan who won nearly half a million dollars from DraftKings Sportsbook. Andrew Collins perfectly called six fights and pulled off a parlay that would make even the most experienced gamblers jealous.
A parlay is described as a series of cumulative bets in which the winnings of the bets are used as stakes for the next wager successively. In this case, Collins played two very specific $1 parlays for the fights at UFC 285, winning nearly $473,000.
Even DraftKings themselves reacted on Twitter, saying:
"THIS IS INSANE."

In his first parlay, he predicted Dricus Du Plessis to win via KO/TKO in round two, Cody Garbrandt to win by decision, Bo Nickal via first-round submission, Shavkat Rakhmonov via third-round submission, Alexa Grasso via fourth-round submission, and Jon Jones to win via submission.
In his second parlay, Collins called Du Plessis to win via second-round KO/TKO, Garbrandt via decision, Nickal via first-round submission, Rakhmonov via third-round submission, and Grasso via fourth-round submission.
Connor Burks, a producer for The MMA Hour, confirmed the news after contacting DraftKings Sportsbook. Andrew Collins hit the bull’s eye on both bets, and the father-of-six will now move one step closer to buying a new house.
UFC 285: Drake wins big after betting on Jon Jones vs. Ciryl Gane
Andrew Collins was not the only one to take home a massive paycheck after the action at UFC 285. Famous Canadian artist Drake won a whopping $1.7 million after betting on Jon Jones to beat Ciryl Gane via submission or knockout.
'Bones' made his heavyweight debut against 'Bon Gamin' in the main event of UFC 285 in Las Vegas. The former light heavyweight king became a two-division champion after finishing Gane early in the first round via submission. Drake bet $250,000 on Jones to beat Gane via submission and $250,000 by knockout.
Fortunately for the Canadian rapper, Jones made easy work of the Frenchman to seemingly break the 'Drake curse.' The record-breaking musical artist has been widely meme'd for jinxing the fortunes of athletes he backs after several sportspeople and teams saw negative results after interacting with him publicly.
In March 2022, he made his first public bet by wagering $275,000 on Jorge Masvidal to beat Colby Covington, only for Masvidal to end up losing. The rapper also placed a bet of $400,000 on Justin Gaethje to defeat Charles Oliveira at UFC 274. Unfortunately, for Drake's reputation, Gaethje lost the fight in the first round.
