Nate Diaz has filed a lawsuit alleging that Fanmio CEO Solomon Engel failed to pay him the promised $10 million for his boxing match against Jorge Masvidal. The disagreement stems from the July 6 boxing match between Diaz and Masvidal, which marked Fanmio's first venture into combat sports.
Despite Diaz emerging as the victor, the aftermath has been marked by controversy as the two sides engage in a legal battle over the financial terms of the fight.
Diaz claims he received only $1 million, and Engel cited financial difficulties and potential marital strain as reasons for the reduced payout. However, In a statement released hours after the lawsuit was filed, the Fanmio CEO acknowledged that Diaz had received a seven-figure payment and dismissed the fraud and breach of contract claims as "frivolous".

The statement read:
“Nate Diaz has filed a frivolous lawsuit against Fanmio which claims that fraud and breach of contract were committed by Fanmio, yet neither has taken place. In fact, Diaz has already been paid seven figures in connection with the fight. I look forward to resolving this dispute through the appropriate process and am confident that justice will prevail. Making salacious and defamatory statements to the media in order to harm my family and I has only strengthened my resolve to ensure that the truth will triumph.”

Jake Paul takes swipe at Nate Diaz amidst pay dispute
Jake Paul has seized the opportunity to take a shot at Nate Diaz following the latter's lawsuit against Fanmio over unpaid purse. The YouTuber-turned-boxer, who previously faced Diaz in a boxing match, reignited their rivalry on X.
Paul reminded Diaz of a previous offer for an MMA rematch under the PFL banner with a $15 million purse, implying that Diaz might have been better off accepting it. He also took a shot at both Diaz and Jorge Masvidal's ability to sell fights.
"Guess that $15 million from PFL needs to be taken a little more seriously you dummy. Yesterday’s price is not today’s price. Oh and Masvidal you broke and can’t sell sh*t"
