UFC Tampa featured something of a repeat of Kamaru Usman's legendary knockout of Jorge Masvidal. The light heavyweight contest between Dustin Jacoby and Vitor Petrino seemed to be trending in the Brazilian's favor. However, when the finish came in round three, it left fans on Instagram jaw-dropped.
Toward the end of round three, Jacoby uncorked a devastating right cross that knocked Petrino out cold. Not only was the punch selection similar to Usman's knockout of Masvidal, but the manner in which Petrino collapsed to the mat was frighteningly similar.
The UFC shared a picture of a triumphant Jacoby on Instagram, causing fans on the app to flock to the comment section, many of whom compared his knockout to Usman's stoppage of Masvidal, which took place at UFC 261. One fan said as much, commenting the following:

"Replica of Usman's knockout of Masvidal from the punch to the way he fell while throwing the hook"
This same sentiment was echoed by another comment.
"That KO was a recreation of Usman's KO against Masvidal"
The comparison's to the all-time great welterweight's iconic win continued.
"Similar to when Usman KO's Masvidal!!!"
Others poked fun at Masvidal himself, calling on him to stay retired in light of a knockout similar to one of his worst losses taking place at UFC Tampa.
"Masvidal will stay retired"
A collage of fan reactions can be seen below:

A key element to the comparisons is that both knockouts took place in Florida, which also happens to be Masvidal's home state.
UFC Tampa featured several iconic knockouts
While Dustin Jacoby's knockout of Vitor Petrino set UFC Tampa alight, so did several others. Cub Swanson, for example, authored a Fight of the Night winner in the co-main event before shutting Billy Quarantillo's lights out with a walk-off knockout. Meanwhile, Michael Johnson showcased a return to form.
He flattened fellow power-puncher Ottman Azaitar in vintage fashion, knocking him out cold. Yet, there's more. Joel Álvarez obliterated Drakkar Klose with a flying knee knockout that left fans jaw-dropped. Other stellar finishes also featured on the card, including a ferocious Manel Kape TKO of Bruno Gustavo da Silva.
