After suffering back-to-back losses against ‘The Iron Man’ Rodtang Jitmuangnon, ‘The General’ bounced back, scoring three wins in a row. Continuing to compete in the flyweight division, Haggerty bested Taiki Naito and Mongkolpetch Petchyindee. From there, ‘The General’ was scheduled to compete in the ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Grand Prix last year, but a medical issue forced him to withdraw.
Shortly after, Jonathan Haggerty made the move to bantamweight, earning a win over Russian striker Vladimir Kuzmin on his way to a ONE world title opportunity against none other than Nong-O Hama, the promotion’s reigning bantamweight Muay Thai titleholder.
