At ONE Fight Night 9, Jonathan Haggerty will take on one of the biggest tests of his career.
Whilst he is no stranger to competing in huge fights, he will attempt to dethrone the absolutely dominant ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world champion on April 21.
Whilst Haggerty is a former world champion himself, the task ahead of him is not difficult because anyone doubts his skills, it’s because of the run Nong-O Hama has been on as of late.
In a recent Instagram post, ONE Championship showed the tremendous shape that Haggerty has gotten himself into and his lightning fast hand speed… by comparing it to the pad work of social media celebrities the Island Boys:

Jonathan Haggerty says he “fears no man” heading to world title challenge against Nong-O
Whilst Jonathan Haggerty has got a huge fight ahead of him, that’s nothing new for ‘The General’.
At ONE Fight Night 9 on April 21, Haggerty will step inside the circle for the eighth time to make his second appearance in the bantamweight division.
The former flyweight world champion will jump right to the top of the division, when he takes on dominant world champion Nong-O Hama at the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Thailand.
Now that the fight is under a month away, Haggerty’s excitement for the contest is starting to reach fever pitch. On his Instagram profile, he shared the message:
“I fear no man in that ring. The count down is on @onechampionship 🔥Who’s excited?”
North American fans can tune into the event live and for free via Prime Video to see if Haggerty can snap Nong-O’s incredible undefeated streak in ONE Championship.
Since winning the world championship in 2019, he has produced a run of seven consecutive title defenses, the most recent of which came at ONE Friday Fights 1 in January when he stopped Alaverdi Ramazanov in the third round.
