Alex Pereira is set to face Israel Adesanya in the main event of UFC 287 this weekend. 'Poatan' has become a fan-favorite despite being unable to speak English, and fans have now shared their thoughts on the idea of Fabiano Buskei translating for him.
Buskei commonly appears alongside another fighter adored by MMA fans, Charles Oliveira, and the passion and apparent-accuracy that the translator displays has made him a hit amongst fans.
Pereira's current translator is Plinio Cruz, a former MMA fighter who also operates as a trainer for 'Poatan'. But fans seem to think that Fabiano Buskei and Alex Pereira would have been an unbeatable combination at UFC 287 this weekend.

Alex Pereira shuts down idea of Khamzat Chimaev challenging for the title
Immediately after Alex Pereira's victory over Israel Adesanya at UFC 281 last year, Khamzat Chimaev took to Twitter to call out the Brazilian.
'Borz' has competed at welterwight and middleweight in his promotional career, and has spoken about his aspirations on winning titles in multiple divisions. He said this:
"Ready to fight in Brazil @AlexPereiraUFC let's go champ"
See the tweet below:
Following Chimaev's drama at UFC 279 last year, where he missed the welterweight limit by over 8 pounds, there has been speculation as to when 'Borz' will move to middleweight.
During Alex Pereira's pre-fight press conference for UFC 287, he was asked about his thoughts on possibly facing Chimaev. He said this:
"[Chimaev] is the kind of guy who seems a little lost. Talks too much. Right after my last fight, he said that he wanted to fight me. He knows after the fight everyone getsb injured, I could not make that weight. So I challenged him to fight at 205 pounds, he ran... I don't even want to talk about Chimaev."
