Fans recently went into a frenzy after discovering who Joe Rogan invited on his podcast as his first guest of the year. The famous podcaster recently dropped an episode of his podcast with rapper Raekwon, notably a member of the legendary Wu-Tang Clan collective.
In a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience podcast (JRE #2250), Rogan sat down with Raekwon, and they discussed a variety of topics. Given Wu-Tang Clan's legendary status in global music, it's no surprise that Rogan appeared star-struck and heaped praise on Raekwon for what they had achieved as a band. He said:
"The Chef is in the building... You are a part of the most iconic band in all of hip-hop. There's one Wu-Tang, and nothing else is even close. There are nine Assassins."

When Joe Rogan discussed Wu-Tang Clan's influence on culture with UFC light heavyweight
In 2022, Joe Rogan sat down for an extended conversation with Khalil Rountree Jr. on the JRE podcast (JRE MMA Show #124), and they discussed their love for Wu-Tang Clan. Rountree Jr. detailed the impact that Wu-Tang Clan's music had on his mood and mental state while outlining that he loved to train with their songs blasting.
In response, Rogan expressed his awe at the group and opined that they were the "most iconic hip-hop band" ever. He continued:
"Just the fact that they brought those dudes together is so interesting. That the Wu-Tang Clan existed at all. And it's so iconic. The Wu-Tang Clan is probably the most iconic hip-hop band of all time. It's a different thing. Wu-Tang is like a mindset... And the people in it vary so wildly. You got 'Ol' Dirty B*stard,' who's just f***ing crazy. And the 'GZA', who's an elite chess player. And I think he's done TED Talks and s**t. He's a legit genius!"
