English Muay Thai star Liam Harrison is preparing for a showdown with Pongsiri P.K. Saenchai at ONE on Prime Video 6—and he has been showing off his speed and power on the mitts in the lead-up to the match.

'Hitman' came up short in his first ONE title bid, getting finished in the opening round by bantamweight king Nong-O Gaiyanghadao.

Prior to that, Harrison won three straight bouts inside the circle, including a TKO victory over Muangthai P.K. Saenchai at ONE 156. Harrison's next foe fought for the inaugural ONE featherweight Muay Thai title, however, Pongsiri is just 1-3 inside the circle with his lone win coming against Ireland's Sean Clancy.

Liam Harrison reflects on his 2022 in ONE Championship

The 37-year-old entered ONE with a professional Muay Thai career that spans back to the 20th century. Harrison is an experienced striker in search of a world title.

'Hitman' reflected on his past year in an exclusive interview with ONE, saying:

"This sport gives you the highest highs and the lowest lows. Obviously, the Muangthai fight was about as high as you can get, and then the rest of the year for me has been a low."

Harrison continued, adding:

"I got injured in the Nong-O fight, I’m injured again now, and it’s gonna be a very tough road back to get myself where I want to be. Unfortunately, I think when you have 120 fights, and you fight the way I do, and you train the way I do, it was bound to happen at some point."

Unfortunately, 'Hitman' is dealing with an injury bug, which first began in his bout with Nong-O. He'll now be getting surgery on his leg and will be sidelined until the fall.

Make sure to check back for an announcement pertaining to Liam Harrison's next match, as it will certainly come against another one of the top bantamweight Muay Thai practitioners.
