Fans react to potential Fabricio Andrade vs. John Lineker rematch

The ONE on Prime Video 3 main event between Fabricio Andrade and John Lineker gave fans nearly two and a half rounds of hard-hitting action. However, the bout left many unanswered questions and ONE Championship without a bantamweight titleholder.

Failing to make weight ahead of the headliner, Lineker was stripped of the bantamweight title, leaving only Andrade eligible to capture the crown. He looked to be just moments away from making that a reality until an ill-placed knee landed low on Lineker, sending him crashing to the canvas and writhing in pain. Unable to continue, the bout was called off and dubbed a no-contest.

ONE Championship is now asking fans on Instagram if they want to see the two heavy hitters mix it up in a rematch on Instagram.

John Lineker ready to run it back with Fabricio Andrade as soon as possible

Aside from the brutal low blow that landed with so much force, it broke his protective gear, John Lineker exited his ONE on Prime Video 3 main event with a severely swollen eye, an injury many felt could have resulted in the end of the bout had it not been for the illegal low blow delivered by Fabricio Andrade.

Despite a slew of injuries, John Lineker hopes to get back into the circle as soon as possible for a rematch with Andrade to crown a new bantamweight world champion.

In an interview with ONE Championship, Lineker said that he will likely need some time for his face to recover, but is eager to reclaim the bantamweight crown:

"I believe there will be a second fight. The audience wants to see that fight again. It was a very exciting fight, a war, and the audience likes that style of fighting. It was a very busy fight. I want to face him again soon, but first I need to recover. My face is a little crumpled now [laughs]. But let's see a date to have this new fight against him."
