At ONE 159, ONE double-champ Reinier de Ridder wowed everyone by defending his middleweight belt against former world champion Vitaly Bigdash by putting him to sleep. Reinier de Ridder defends his light heavyweight strap against Anatoly Malykhin at ONE on Prime Video 5

After defending his middleweight belt twice this year, ONE double-champ Reinier de Ridder will be defending his light heavyweight strap at ONE on Prime Video 5. Challenging him for his 225-pound belt will be ONE interim heavyweight world champion Anatoly 'Sladkiy' Malykhin. The Russian powerhouse will move down a weight class with the hopes of achieving double-champ status himself.

One of the things fans and pundits are pointing out to be Malykhin's advantage over de Ridder is his knockout power. The undefeated 'Sladkiy' had more than half of his wins come by way of knockout and will surely try to end ONE on Prime Video 5 in a similar fashion. 'The Dutch Knight', who is also undefeated himself, is not all too concerned about his challenger's knockout ability.

In an interview with SCMP MMA, de Ridder addressed the concussive power of his December 2 opponent:

"He [Malykhin] is a good boxer but he’s not the most technical, to be honest. He just throws looping shots, looping wild right hand. Sometimes a little bit of a tighter right hand and a left hook behind it. It’s very dangerous, but with the right preparation, I don’t feel any worry there."
