ONE Championship recently highlighted Rodtang Jitmuangnon’s toughness by showing him shrugging off a groin shot.
Most fighters go to the ground in pain when they get kicked in the groin. Yet, Rodtang is not a typical fighter. ‘The Iron Man’ was fighting Joseph Lasiri at ONE on Prime Video 4 when the latter landed a low blow.
Instead of taking time to recover, ‘The Iron Man’ quickly adjusted his shorts and continued fighting. ONE posted the video on Instagram with the caption:
“He’s called “The Iron Man” for a reason 🤖 @rodtang_jimungnon”

Rodtang is beloved by combat sports fans for his toughness, so it wasn’t shocking to see plenty of comments praising him for downplaying a groin shot:
“Rodtang asks if they’re ok afterwards 👏😂”
“Iron chin and balls of steel 💀”
“Rodtang “Iron Balls” Jitmuangnon 👊🏽👊🏽”
“Merely a tang to his rod”
“Should probably check if that guys foot is okay after kicking Rodtang's steel balls”
After dominating the ONE flyweight Muay Thai division, Rodtang has decided to pursue a new goal. ‘The Iron Man’ has directed his motivation to become the ONE kickboxing world champion.
He made his calendar year debut at ONE Fight Night 6, where he secured a unanimous decision victory against Jiduo Yibu. The question is, what’s next?
Rodtang Jitmuangnon wants to fight in ONE Championship’s U.S. debut
On May 5, ONE Championship will be making their U.S. debut at ONE Fight Night 10 in Colorado. Plenty of ONE fighters have expressed their interest in fighting at the historic event, including Rodtang Jitmuangnon.
He had this to say during a recent interview:
“Of course, it would be a great opportunity if I could be there. It is a young man's dream to perform in the US. I don’t have an ideal opponent. You can pick any opponent for me in any rule – Muay Thai, kickboxing, or MMA.”
Although Rodtang Jitmuangnon name-dropped his highly-anticipated MMA debut, there is a solid chance he could be fighting for the ONE flyweight kickboxing world title on May 5. ‘The Iron Man’ made a statement in his fight at ONE Fight Night 6, which featured the reigning champion Superlek in the co-main event.
Since they fought on the same night, their timelines could match up perfectly.
