ONE Championship fans have waited a long-time to see the striking superfight between Rodtang Jitmuangnon and Superlek Kiatmoo9.

A true dream match-up will finally take place at ONE Fight Night 8 on March 24 as the dominant flyweight Muay Thai world champion attempts to become a two-sport champ by challenging the kickboxing titleholder.

ONE Championship recently uploaded a poster on their Instagram profile, showcasing both men’s extensive striking records:

Lito Adiwang says shorter Rodtang is at a disadvantage against Superlek

Team Lakay’s Lito Adiwang has been giving his thoughts on the upcoming main event of ONE Fight Night 8 where flyweight Muay Thai king Rodtang Jitmuangnon will attempt to become a two-sport titleholder.

Facing Superlek Kiatmoo9 for the flyweight kickboxing crown, the fight is a fantastic clash of styles.

Both fans and fighters alike expect the defending champion to have the advantage if he can keep the fight as a technical kickboxing contest. Whilst ‘The Iron Man’ has stated that he is approaching this contest with a far more reserved mindset than usual. Everyone knows what can happen once the flyweight Muay Thai wrecking machine starts to pick up steam.

Speaking exclusively to Sportskeeda MMA, Lito ‘Thunder Kid’ Adiwang said that whilst Rodtang may have a power advantage over ‘The Kicking Machine’, the kickboxing titleholder may be able to use his superior height to reach his advantage:

“The disadvantage for Rodtang is his height -- height and reach,” Adiwang said. “Both fighters are quick, but I think that Superlek has a bit better footwork and he’ll have quite an advantage since this is a kickboxing fight.”
