Fans recently expressed their thoughts on the UFC's September pay-per-view getting rebranded to Riyadh Season Noche UFC. While some made fun of the promotion for letting Riyadh Season sponsor the event, many were upset.
UFC 306 will mark the second-ever Noche UFC event after last year's Fight Night, which was headlined by Alexa Grasso vs. Valentina Shevchenko 2. Additionally, this pay-per-view is the first UFC event that will take place at The Sphere in Las Vegas, which Dana White has claimed will be a one-and-done.
The announcement was made during the UFC Mexico City broadcast that UFC 306 will be on Saturday, Sep. 14, which coincides with the festivities of Mexican Independence Day.
According to a press release, this is the first time the promotion has provided a sponsor with title partner status, renaming UFC 306 as 'Riyadh Season Noche UFC.' As part of the arrangement, the Riyadh Season's logo will be prevalent throughout the build-up and broadcast.

UFC CEO Dana White recently issued a statement on Riyadh Season being the sponsor for the pay-per-view event.
''This will be one of the biggest sporting events of all time. What we’re going to pull off at The Sphere will never be done again. This will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience for sports fans. At the same time, this is going to be an incredible tribute to the Mexican people for their extraordinary contributions to combat sports.'' [H/t: ufc.com]
Dana White promises to make Noche UFC bigger than the last one
Dana White recently discussed the UFC 306, the organization's first event in the Las Vegas Sphere. White proposed that the pay-per-view event will be held during Mexican Independence Day weekend and will be dedicated to Mexico and its people.
Earlier this month, White appeared on comedian Andrew Schulz's Flagrant podcast and revealed that UFC 306 would be a Mexican Independence Day-themed event, perhaps even greater than Noche UFC (Sep. 16, 2023).
''This is going to be a f**king love letter to the Mexican people, right? I have this thing, huge boxing fan, so I have this thing with Mexicans, man. When you tell somebody — I got goosebumps telling you this right now — when you tell somebody you fight like a Mexican, it's the biggest f**king compliment you could ever f**king give somebody, right?"
