Earlier this year, Prajanchai PK Saenchai became one of the few fighters to hold world championships in two sports under the ONE Championship banner. The Thai striker had dominated his natural division by climbing to the top of the strawweight Muay Thai ladder.
After reclaiming his title from Joseph Lasiri at the end of last year, he looked to dethrone the strawweight kickboxing champ, Jonathan Di Bella. The two men put on a great contest at ONE Friday Fights 68 in June where Prajanchai got his hand raised via a close decision verdict.
In a recent press conference, ONE CEO Chatri Sityodtong spoke about his intentions to make the rematch in the future:
"We definitely want to do Prajanchai and Di Bella II. It may happen in America. It may happen somewhere else. Qatar is also a potential [venue]. Japan is also a potential [venue]. We have a lot of different events. We haven't announced it yet. Big events. We'll be announcing that in the coming weeks. But yeah, I'm most interesting in a Prajanchai versus Di Bella rematch. It was a very close fight, and I think both athletes are world champions in their own right or the best of the best on the planet. I think fans really want to see that fight."

Prajanchai versus Di Bella II is a fascinating rematch
As Chatri Sityodtong alluded to in his press conference, Prajanchai facing Di Bella in a rematch is a fight that can be put on anywhere in the world. The first fight was so entertaining and closely contested that running it back makes the most sense for both competitors.
They each had their successful periods in the fight so making a statement this time around to avoid another close call on the scorecards will be important for both of them.
