Donald Trump once spoke to Joe Rogan about how California's fires could be prevented with some simple policy measures, and fans recently reacted to the President-elect's comments in light of the recent Los Angeles fires. Trump discussed the Californian Delta Smelt problem and outlined how rainwater was being wasted instead of being used to fight fires.
Appearing in an episode of The Joe Rogan Experience podcast (JRE #2219), Trump went on at length about how rainwater is diverted into the Pacific ocean to save an endangered species of fish and how that prevents California from having sufficient supply of water in case of fires. He said:
"You know, in Los Angeles, you can't get proper amounts of water... In order to protect a tiny little fish, the water up north gets routed into the Pacific Ocean. Millions and millions of gallons of water get poured [into the Pacific]. I got it all done. Nobody could believe it... You got so much water. All you have to do is sign, and [Gavin Newsom] didn't wanna sign. Every time I go to California, I say you have so much water. They don't know it."
After @CollinRugg shared a clip of Trump's comments on the JRE podcast in an X post, fans flocked to the comments section to express their thoughts.

Ex-Texas governor lauds Donald Trump's justice reform efforts on Joe Rogan's podcast
Former Texas governor Rick Perry recently spoke to Joe Rogan on his podcast and lauded Donald Trump for supporting justice reform. Perry specifically went deep on how Trump's plan to put a National Justice Reform helped set up a viable model.
Speaking on the JRE podcast (#2251), Perry spoke to Rogan about how he's glad Trump won the 2024 US presidential elections and heaped praise on the President-elect. He said:
"We work pretty hard in the state of Texas to come up with ways to not send people to prison. We put Criminal Justice Reform in place in the early 2000s' here, and it was a model...a matter of fact, it was a model that President Trump used to put National Criminal Justice Reform in place to be able to intervene before people ever went to prison where they would become professional criminals."
