MMA fans have been debating on Reddit whether or not Joanna Jedrzejczyk could be set for a retirement U-turn after being tested once again by USADA.
The former women's strawweight champion appeared to hang up her gloves following her second successive loss to Zhang Weili earlier this year at UFC 275. The Pole returned to the UFC following a two-year layoff from the first bout with Weili, which won 2020's Fight of the Year.
The Chinese-born fighter proved too much once again in the rematch and no judges were necessary as Jedrzejczyk was hit with a spinning back fist and KO'd inside the second round. An emotional Jedrzejczyk then called time on her career following the loss but has since stirred up conversation following a USADA test.

One fan wrote that MMA fighters have become accustomed to announcing their retirement from fighting but unretiring at least once during their career:
"It's tradition in MMA to retire and un retire at least 1 time in your career."
Another fan suggested Molly McCann as an opponent if Joanna Jedrzejczyk does come back from retirement:
"She could slap around someone like 'Meatball' Molly and retire"
Reddit user @Jhawk38 believes that the 35-year-old announcing her retirement doesn't mean she's left the testing pool:
"She has to actually exit the usada testing pool. They don't stop testing just cause you said you retired on tv."

When Joanna Jedrzejczyk's retirement made fellow Polish fighter Karolina Kowalkiewicz cry
Whilst most fans were emotional at the scenes of Joanna Jedrzejczyk hanging up her gloves, none were more so than her friend and former rival Karolina Kowalkiewicz.
The pair had previously gone toe-to-toe at UFC 205 where Jedrzejczyk successfully defended the women's strawweight title against her fellow countrywoman in a highly entertaining bout. Whilst there was a share of bad blood between the two women leading up to the fight, the 'Polish Princess' has since credited her more illustrious compatriot for helping her turn around her five-fight skid.
In an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda MMA's Andrew Whitelaw, Kowalkiewicz explained the moment she saw Joanna Jedrzejczyk call time on her career:
"I cried. Just like that, I cried. I know it's very hard [for] fighter to make this decision. But Joanna, she fight many many years. She was very long the best, she was very long on the top and it was her decision. But I think she will be back."
