Some MMA fans have made their voices clear, with many stating that they want to see Dagestani powerhouse Saygid Izagakhmaev battle for the world title against 'The Warrior' Christian Lee next.

Saygid Izagakhmaev, Khabib Nurmagomedov's protege, is undefeated thus far in the ONE circle. The Russian fighter is coming off a dominant TKO win against former ONE lightweight world champion Shinya Aoki, a result that moved his perfect ONE Championship record to 3-0.
For the Dagestani's next bout, some fans have demanded to see Izagakhmaev in a match against reigning ONE lightweight and welterweight king Christian Lee.

Saygid Izagakhmaev wants to fight Christian Lee
The promotion’s No.3-ranked lightweight, Izagakhmaev, agrees with the fans above. He wants to fight the ONE lightweight world champion 'The Warrior' Christian Lee.
In an interview with ONE, he said:
"Christian Lee has beaten everybody [else], but he knows who he hasn’t beaten... I’m destined to be the lightweight champion, it’s only a matter of time... I’m the new force in the lightweight division, and nobody will stop me.”
His mentor Khabib Nurmagomedov agrees with that assessment. In his own interview with ONE, 'The Eagle' said:
"There’s a very good chance that early next year, in the first half of 2023, Saygid will fight for the title."
With the coach and fighter agreeing with the fans, it may be time to see Izagakhmaev and Christian Lee battle for the prestigious ONE lightweight throne in 2023.
