Featherweight kickboxing tilt between Masaaki Noiri and Shakir Al-Tekreeti added to ONE 170 strike fest on January 24

Masaaki Noiri and Shakir Al-Tekreeti are late notice but definitely welcomed additions to the loaded ONE 170 mega event.

ONE Championship recently announced that this three-round featherweight kickboxing battle will be added to the gargantuan card set to take place on Jan. 24 at Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand.

Things haven't exactly gone Noiri's way since taking his talents to the home of martial arts. Surprisingly, the Japanese superstar dropped his first two matches under the ONE banner.

After losing to Thai legend Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong in his promotional debut, Noiri got outclassed by China's Liu Mengyan at ONE Friday Fights 92 last December.

A chance to redeem himself was too good to pass up, as the former two-division K-1 world champion pounced on this quick turnaround against his Iraqi foe.

Like Noiri, Al-Tekreeti is looking for vindication after losing via TKO to Rungrawee Sitsongpeenong at ONE Fight Night 18.

The Al Nagde Team standout, though, showcased a well-rounded striking arsenal when he bested no.4 ranked contender Bampara Kouyate at ONE Fight Night 15.

ONE 170 is a striker's paradise

Three world titles will be up for grabs at ONE 170. A champion vs champion squabble between Tawanchai PK Saenchai and Superbon will go down in the main event for the featherweight Muay Thai world title.

Nico Carrillo and Nabil Anane will also duke it out for the interim bantamweight Muay Thai strap. Elsewhere, Fabricio Andrade and Kwon Won Il will leave it all on the line for the bantamweight MMA crown.

Fan favorites Seksan Or Kwanmuang, Jo Nattawut, Johan Ghazali, Sinsamut Klinmee, and more, are also booked for massive bouts.
