Miranda Maverick secured her third win of 2024 at UFC Tampa, narrowly defeating Jamey-Lyn Horth via decision. Despite the victory, Maverick was highly critical of her performance, calling it her "worst ever" during the post-fight interview.
Maverick's standout moment came in the decisive third round when she landed clean strikes and executed a crucial takedown. Horth attempted a late submission with a leg lock, but Maverick evaded the danger and controlled the final moments.
With the win, the 27-year-old extended her streak to four consecutive victories and improved to 6-1 over her last seven fights. However, Maverick expressed disappointment, saying:
"Worst victory I've ever gotten. Worst performance I've ever done. As far as still pulling out the win, just didn't pull out what I have got in there, you know. I am very disappointed at my performance. I'm better than what I was. But at the end of the day, win's a win."

Originally set to face Tracy Cortez, Maverick also addressed her frustration over Cortez’s repeated withdrawals. This marked the second time their matchup was canceled, with Cortez citing an undisclosed injury this time.
Maverick didn’t hold back, stating:
"It's two times she's had to fight me now. We gave it an 80% chance she'd drop out this time. What happened? She dropped out. And somehow, magically four days later she's ready to fight again. Weird."
