Ilia Topuria predicts fireworks for Conor McGregor's return at UFC 303

Featherweight champion Ilia Topuria has offered his thoughts on Conor McGregor's highly anticipated return to the octagon at UFC 303. McGregor, a former two-division UFC champion, hasn't fought since suffering a leg injury during his bout against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264.

In an interview with Sportskeeda MMA, Topuria acknowledged the uncertainty surrounding McGregor's performance but guaranteed an unforgettable fight:

"[Michael] Chandler is a very tough fighter too but I don't know. Conor [McGregor], he's something special. You never know. When he [McGregor] goes inside the cage, you never know. Maybe you see a knockout in 15 seconds or 10 seconds. Or maybe you see how he broke his leg or how someone knocks him out. Something you always know is that you're gonna see something spectacular in the fight."

This highly anticipated welterweight bout is poised to make history as it headlines the first UFC event to break the $20 million live gate mark.

The June 29 clash at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas has already surpassed the previous record of $17.7 million set by UFC 205, which was another card headlined by McGregor. UFC CEO Dana White recently confirmed the astronomical numbers during a recent press conference.

''It's already way over twenty million.''
