A look into Max Holloway's wife, Alessa Quizon
Max Holloway's reign as the UFC's BMF champion isn't the only title held within his household. His wife, Alessa Quizon, is a skilled athlete in her own right, carving a path as a professional surfer ranked 83rd by the World Surf League.
Growing up in Oahu, Hawaii, Quizon's connection to the water began at a young age. Reflecting on her introduction to surfing, she shared:
“When I was two I was thrown in the water, and I fell in love... And then I started surfing at four — my dad taught me. Surfing’s been in my family for two or three generations now. There’s no other feeling in the world like riding a wave.”[H/t: Into The Gloss]
Quizon met Holloway in 2020, and the couple married two years later in their hometown of Kapolei, Hawaii. Holloway has openly acknowledged the positive influence his wife has on his life and career:
"My wife made my life easier...She took a lot of things off my plate and she just makes it easier. So, all I got to do is go there, focus, do my thing ... She does a lot and I am just super grateful for her."
