Jake Paul defeats Mike Tyson via unanimous decision in polarizing fight, Joe Rogan provides insight
Jake Paul was last seen in action defeating 58-year-old Mike Tyson in an 8-round boxing match that polarized 108 million viewers on Netflix. The event, which also featured a classic rematch between Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano, made history by becoming the most-streamed global sporting event in history.
As for the Paul-Tyson fight, a lot of fans alleged it to be fixed. Major concerns were also directed at Tyson's age and health leading up to the fight.
While many called foul play on the bout, popular MMA personality and major Mike Tyson fan Joe Rogan gave his opinion on the historic battle. To the UFC commentator, the former heavyweight champion coming out of the bout unscathed was a major win.
In an episode of the Joe Rogan Experience, Rogan said:
"I'm glad he [Tyson] got through that fight and didn't get hurt. I was hoping that he would knock Jake Paul out [laughs] just because that's the Cinderella story. I don't have anything against [Jake] Paul. I like Jake Paul. I think what he's doing is genius. I mean, he's making insane amounts of money, he's having a great f*cking time, [and] he's a legit boxer, he's absolutely a legit boxer."
