Fabricio Andrade is confident that he'll not only climb back into the win column at ONE 170, but he'll do so in highlight-reel fashion.

It's been more than a year since 'Wonder Boy' came up short in his bid to become a two-sport king against reigning ONE bantamweight kickboxing world champion Jonathan Haggerty at ONE Fight Night 16.

Still sitting as the ONE bantamweight MMA world titleholder, Andrade will now set his sights on defending his belt in a rematching more than two years in the making. On Friday, January 24, Andrade will put his 26 pounds of gold on the line against streaking standout Kwon Won Il inside the iconic Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand.

The last time Andrade squared off with Kwon, he scored a brutal body kick KO 62 seconds into their scrap at ONE 158. Andrade expects to deliver another noteworthy finish when they run it back on martial arts' biggest global stage.

"Yes, of course, I think I’m going to be able to find a knockout again in this fight," Andrade told Sportskeeda MMA. "But it’s not only because I had already knocked him out before."

Kwon Won Il previews upcoming bout

A lot has changed since Kwon Won Il's first meeting with Fabricio Andrade.

Four months after his quick KO loss, 'Pretty Boy' bounced back with a third-round finish of his own against Mark Abelardo at ONE 163. Since then, he's added two more wins to his resume, defeating Artem Belakh and Shinechagtga Zoltsetseg.

Having won three straight and six of his last seven, Andrade recognizes that the Kwon Won Il he's fighting at ONE 170 is not the same one he fought in June 2022.

"Yes, he’s made a lot of improvements since we last fought in his past fights. I think after he lost that fight against me, he went back to the gym, trained a lot to improve his striking and grappling game. And that change showed in his last three performances. So yeah, he’s definitely improved and looked better over the past few fights."

Will Andrade land another impressive finish against the South Korean, or will Kwon even the series and claim his first ONE world title?

Fans in the United States and Canada can watch ONE 170: Tawanchai vs. Superbon II will air live on Amazon Prime Video on Friday, January 24 in U.S. primetime.
