Jon Anik was recently full of praise for his UFC commentary co-host Joe Rogan, and believes he is more than deserving of winning an Emmy for Sports Broadcasting. Since joining the UFC commentary desk in 2011, Anik has gone on to become a regular alongside Rogan.
In 2017, the MMA promotion decided to increase the commentary booth to a 3 man team, allowing for Anik to become a permanent figure alongside the JRE host. The likes of Daniel Cormier and Michael Bisping often fill the third spot.
Joe Rogan has been with the promotion far longer, having joined the commentary desk for the first time in 2002. Despite now having over two decades of calling fights under his belt, the 56-year-old has yet to even be nominated for an Emmy award in Sports Broadcasting.

Jon Anik then discussed Rogan's Emmy snub during a recent interview with MMA Junkie. The UFC color commentator was asked about his own career aspirations, which is when he stated that Rogan is far more deserving of such an award. He said:
"I'm not really focused on goal oriented things. It’d be great to be nominated for an Emmy but you know Joe Rogan has never been nominated for an Emmy as a sports broadcaster and he is the finest MMA analyst that is ever lived and I could talk to you about all the different facets of the job that make him such.”

Joe Rogan believes the PFL must utilize Francis Ngannou in order to increase their stature
Joe Rogan has claimed that in order for the Professional Fighter's League (PFL) to increase their stature in the fight game, they must make the most of Francis Ngannou's star power.
After leaving the UFC at the beginning of last year, 'The Predator' signed a multi-fight contract with the PFL. His deal also includes him heading up PFL Africa, which is set to launch in 2025.
Despite having been signed with the promotion for over a year, Ngannou is yet to compete under their banner. He has since tried his hand at boxing, facing off against both Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua.
Rogan then weighed in on the PFL-Ngannou situtation during a recent episode of the JRE MMA Show. According to the UFC commentator, the PFL must use Ngannou as the spearhead if they ever want to come close to competing with the UFC. He said:
"Right now, the only way an organization could benefit - like PFL signed Francis [Ngannou]. That's probably the only way that PFL's gonna get people to pay attention. You have to have someone like Francis."
