Fireworks guaranteed: Seksan and Soe Lin Oo locked in for Muay Thai scrap at ONE 170 on January 24

Another can't-miss thriller is set to be part of ONE 170 on Jan. 24. Seksan Or Kwanmuang and Soe Lin Oo will square off in a 142-pound catchweight Muay Thai tie from inside the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand.

The promotion unveiled the news on its site yesterday.

'The Man Who Yields To No One' will arrive inside the 'Mecca of Muay Thai' for ONE 170 off one of the most memorable finishes of his career.

At ONE 168: Denver last month, the Thai veteran put fellow legend Liam Harrison to sleep inside the second round to take home the 202nd win of his career and a US$50,000 performance bonus.

Before that, he enjoyed an 8-1 run on the global stage, which included a pair of highlight-reel stoppages against Isaac Araya and Sean Clancy.

With knockout power, aggression, and a world-class fight IQ all guaranteed, fans can expect another striking clinic or a knockout from the 35-year-old.

Standing across him will be another near-identical warrior, who's been bestowed with the nickname 'Man of Steel' for obvious reasons.

The 32-year-old's resilience and iron chin have always been a couple of his strongest traits from the very start of his career. His radar is always locked on an early night out, and his three successive knockouts are proof of that.

Unfortunately for the Doe Yoe Yar Lethwei Club athlete, his perfect promotional run came to a halt against Nabil Anane at ONE Friday Fights 81 on Sept. 27.

However, with a desire to get his career back on track, Soe Lin Oo should be firing on all cylinders once more against arguably the toughest test on his resume when ONE 170 gets underway inside the Impact Arena, live in Asia primetime, on Friday, Jan. 24.

ONE 170 shaping up to be a card jam-packed with barnburners

Besides the surefire Muay Thai war between Seksan and Soe Lin Oo, the promotion's Asia primetime card in January next year features another pair of bangers.

Tawanchai PK Saenchai and Superbon will run it back for the ONE featherweight Muay Thai world title in the ONE 170 main event.

The PK Saenchai Muay Thai Gym affiliate beat the ONE interim featherweight kickboxing world champion in their first encounter last December, but he did not have it easy against the ever-dangerous veteran.

Superbon will undoubtedly perfect his shortcomings as he seeks to draw level with Tawanchai and complete his two-sport takeover. However, the latter has every imaginable tool in his arsenal to author another memorable victory over the Superbon Training Camp founder.

In the co-main event of ONE 170, Scottish star and second-ranked Nico Carrillo finally gets his shot at ONE gold. 'King of the North' meets newly crowned two-sport world champion Superlek Kiatmoo9 for his ONE bantamweight Muay Thai crown.
