"Fireworks in kickboxing" - Fans call for super fight between megastars Rodtang Jitmuangnon and Takeru Segawa

ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon has given fans nearly six years of entertainment inside the Circle and they hope that he will finally be on a collision course with Japanese kickboxing megastar Takeru Segawa.

The world's largest martial arts promotion posted some highlights of 'The Natural Born Crusher' during his January fight with Superlek Kiatmoo9 and asked fans whom they believe should be his next opponent in the caption.

Almost as if the fans had one mind, 'The Iron Man' was at the forefront of their wishlist which they wrote in the comments section and can be seen below:

"@rodtang_jitmuangnon vs @k1takeru would be fireworks in kickboxing🔥"

"@rodtang_jitmuangnon that's it!"

For those not in the know, Rodtang was supposed to be Takeru's opponent at ONE 165, but suffered an injury to his left hand that opened the door for Superlek to defend his ONE flyweight kickboxing world title against the Team Vasileus star.

While Rodtang was the obvious choice for many, one fan is hoping to see Takeru fight veteran star 'The Bosnian Menace' Denis Puric:

"Takeru vs. @bosnian_menace !!!"

Rodtang gunning for Takeru megafight in electric callout

The Thai star appeared to be back in prime form after pulling off an absolute classic performance against the aforementioned Puric at ONE 167 last June 7 and took aim at Takeru in the post-fight interview.

Rodtang boldly declared the following in front of his hometown crowd:

"I'm coming back to fight again, I want to fight Takeru. Are you ready, Takeru? Let's go!"

The Jitmuangnon Gym product has never been one to turn down a fight, especially if it is one desired by the fans, and a clash with Takeru is sure to be an easy pick for fight of the year.
