Khabib Nurmagomedov recently traded the octagon for the snowy slopes of Utah. While preparing his protégé Islam Makhachev for the UFC 311 main event against Arman Tsarukyan on Jan 18, 2025, Khabib took a break at Deer Valley Resort to try skiing for the first time.

The undefeated icon shared moments from his snowy adventure on social media, where his attempts at skiing turned into comedic gold. In a post shared on his Instagram handle, Khabib is seen hilariously crashing into the snow and struggling to get back up, calling out to his companions for help:

“Brother you have to help me, please, come!”

His friends, unable to contain their laughter, filmed the incident.

Khabib Nurmagomedov sets high bar for Usman Nurmagomedov’s potential as an all-time great in MMA

Khabib Nurmagomedov has expressed confidence that his cousin, Usman Nurmagomedov, has the potential to surpass him and become an all-time legend in the sport.

Speaking to the PFL about Usman’s career trajectory, Khabib highlighted his cousin’s potential for greatness, saying:

"Very, very easy he can put his name in the top five greatest fighters of all-time. He's only 26, can you imagine after four years, when he becomes 30. [The] next seven [to] ten years, he can be on top very very easily. Can you imagine if he fights 15, 16, 17 more fights. I think he has [the] ability to be there."

Check out Khabib Nurmagomedov's comments below:

At just 26 years old, Usman has already made waves, successfully defending his Bellator MMA lightweight title twice and remaining undefeated in his professional career.

While a future UFC debut seems likely, especially with UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev—a close friend and training partner—potentially moving up to welterweight, Usman is currently focused on competing outside the octagon. His next challenge is a title defense against Paul Hughes at the Road to Dubai: Champions series event, hosted by the Professional Fighters League.
