Mike Tyson weighs in on fans' concern over his age ahead of Jake Paul fight

Mike Tyson has reassured fans who are concerned about his upcoming fight with Jake Paul, affirming his readiness and hinting at potential future bouts. Set for this Friday at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, Tyson’s heavyweight clash with the much younger Paul has sparked widespread debate within the combat sports community, especially given the age gap between the two.

The fight, postponed from its original date in July due to Tyson’s ulcer flare-up, will be live-streamed on Netflix. Now fully recovered, the 58-year-old legend shared impressive training clips that showcased his fitness. In a recent interview with Manouk Akopyan, Tyson directly addressed health concerns, emphasizing his commitment and newfound perspective on life:

''Thank you very much for being concerned. But I am fighting. I’m going to be okay... I was a different person then. I was using narcotics, alcohol back then. I’m not that person anymore. I see a better picture of myself now. I see light. I see the world from a different perspective now...I feel great...I’ve got the rounds in me."

When asked if this would be his final fight, Tyson left the door open for future matches:

''Sky is the limit. We’ll see. I’m interested in doing it again.”
