Gervonta Davis was banned from using Floyd Mayweather’s famous Las Vegas gym for training in the lead up to his fight against Ryan Garcia.
Almost a week ago, Davis claimed that he would be training at Mayweather's gym to prepare for the highly anticipated bout at T-Mobile Arena. However, in a recent Twitter tirade, he mentioned that Mayweather banned him from the facility. In a since-deleted tweet, he said:
“What? That Floyd’s petty ass said I couldn’t use his gym anymore. I don’t give a f**k!”
Davis left Floyd Mayweather’s boxing promotion after fulfilling his contract on last fight with a stoppage win over fellow Mayweather Promotions fighter Rolando Romero. The split appeared amicable, with Mayweather wishing Davis well in his future endeavors, but recent reports suggest that it might not be as amicable as publicly stated.

Calvin Ford, Davis’s trainer also approved Davis’s previous decision to train at Mayweather's gym for his latest training camp. He told BoxingScene:
“We like Mayweather’s gym. Tank has said he feels back at home. That feeling of being in Vegas in that gym is calming for him.”
Gervonta Davis will face Ryan Garcia on April 22 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, live on Showtime pay-per-view.
Floyd Mayweather speaks on low ticket sales for latest exhibition fight against Aaron Chalmers
Floyd Mayweather’s exhibition in London went viral on social media for all the wrong reasons in late February.
Pictures showing the backdrop of the nearly empty O2 Arena emerged, as one of the best boxers of all time took on former Bellator MMA fighter Aaron Chalmers.
Mayweather spoke about low ticket sales in a post-fight press conference for the bout:
“When you buy tickets over here, you don't really want to spend money. In America, we don't mind spending money”.
Mayweather seemingly blamed the British fans for not turning out for his exhibition fight, in which no winner or loser was declared. ‘TBE’ even suggested that British fans are less likely to spend money on tickets for events compared to American fans.
