ONE flyweight kickboxing king Superlek Kiatmoo9 does not have a chance to relax at any point of time nowadays.

The Thai superstar is gearing up for a Muay Thai clash against Kongthoranee Sor Sommai at ONE Friday Fights 68, on June 28, before he flies out to the United States to challenge Jonathan Haggerty's bantamweight Muay Thai world title at ONE 168: Denver.

But in addition to those crucial fights, the Thai superstar is also finishing up his new gym and basecamp in Nothaburi, not far from Bangkok, Thailand.

In an interview with South China Morning Post, 'The Kicking Machine' shared a glimpse of developments on his new gym in the outskirts of the Thai capital:

"Well, the new gym is in Bang Kruai, it's in Nonthaburi. It's just a little bit outside of Bangkok. And now the gym is not finished 100% I just use it as my training location first."

While this new establishment will become his basecamp in the future, he already knew he would be in the best condition possible to enter the arena on both occassions.

Superlek ready to fight Kongthoranee with 'extra caution'

Taking two experienced competitors in a span of four months would be a tough challenge for any athletes, but Superlek Kiatmoo9 took this task without any hesitation.

Ahead of a Muay Thai clash against Kongthoranee Sor Sommai at ONE Friday Fights 68 on June 28, the Thai superstar says he will be extra cautious in his plans, especially on making weight.

He shared this in an interview with South China Morning Post:

"Well, of course, the weight would be tricky, the weight cut and the weight gain with such time difference. I think it is a bit tricky for me, because I was preparing to face Jonathan Haggerty at bantmaweight. So I was focusing on gaining the weight, and now that there is this surprise match with Kongthoranee at flyweight, I have to cut the weight down."

With a leap to bantamweight Muay Thai world title challenge not long after, Superlek reassured his fans that he will still perform at his best, especially when facing his old rival Jonathan Haggerty in ONE 168: Denver.

Tickets for ONE 168: Denver are available via Ticketmaster.
