Former bantamweight MMA world champion John Lineker is not deviating from his usual approach for his scheduled Muay Thai fight this week, going for a knockout en route to a win.
'Hands of Stone' shared this in an interview with ONE Championship ahead of his bantamweight Muay Thai showdown with Kulabdam Sor Jor Piek Uthai on Jan. 10 at ONE Fight Night 27: Tang vs. Abdullaev at the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
"So it won't be any different in this fight. I just can't say for sure which round it will be, but I'm going to be looking for the knockout all the time."

John Lineker has been a KO machine in his Muay Thai foray, knocking his opponents in each of his two matches so far. He first stopped Asa Ten Pow of the United States in his Muay Thai debut in ONE in September at ONE 168: Denver and did the same to Russian Alexey Balyko in their showdown at ONE Fight Night 25 in October.
ONE Fight Night 27 will be aired live and for free at U.S. primetime to North American fans with an active Amazon Prime Video subscription.
John Lineker sees a dangerous opponent in Kulabdam
John Lineker knows he is up against a dangerous opponent in Kulabdam Sor Jor Piek Uthai at ONE Fight Night 27 on Jan. 10, owing to the latter's versatility as a fighter.
He made this known in the same interview with ONE Championship, sharing that he has followed the fights of 'Left Meteorite' and grown convinced that he is an opponent different from the ones he competed against in his first two Muay Thai matches.
Lineker said:
"I've been following Kulabdam, I've watched some fights, and he's a guy who has a very versatile game. A dangerous guy."
While he is anticipating to be severely tested by Kulabdam, Lineker is confident of holding his own and coming up with a victory in the end.
