Gabriel Varga, a former kickboxing champion, seemingly took offense to recent training footage of Conor McGregor. Based on his view of the entire footage, he believes that 'The Notorious' star broke a bunch of sparring protocols.
McGregor posted the video on social media, with the primary objective seemingly being to educate fight fans. Pointing out the finer details from the brief sequence he posted, the former two-division UFC champion also made bold claims about inventing certain new techniques.

However, the video captured Varga's attention for all the wrong reasons. The former Bellator KB kickboxing featherweight champion and former two-time Glory titleholder pointed out various observations as to how McGregor broke sparring etiquette.
The way Varga sees it, the martial arts code of conduct should be strictly adhered to. Breaking down the video on his YouTube channel, Varga said:
"The first thing, as soon as I started watching, I went, 'What is Conor doing? He doesn't have shin pads on and he's wearing shoes!' When you're sparring with somebody, I can guarantee you they are not going to appreciate you wearing shoes. They're just extra mean if you front-kick somebody in the face with shoes on, that's disgusting."
Varga also reacted to the end of the footage, which sees Conor McGregor hurt his sparring partner with a straight left:
"Why are you wearing such small gloves for sparring? There are so many things in this video where I'm going, 'McGregor, you're a former two-time UFC champion. The guy you're sparring with does not look very good.'"

Conor McGregor weighs in on how a fight with Charles Oliveira would play out
Conor McGregor's unfortunate leg injury during his rubber match against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 has kept him away from the octagon for over a year.
'The Notorious' wants to erase that memory, however, and focus on his training to make what he labeled "the greatest comeback in sports history."
The Irishman was called out by former lightweight champion Charles Oliveira after his emphatic victory over Justin Gathje at UFC 274. 'Do Bronx' is widely regarded as the uncrowned champion at 155 pounds given how he lost the title.
During a recent fan interaction on Twitter, Conor McGregor was asked how a fight with the Brazilian would play out.
The Irishman, who's never shy to back his credentials inside the octagon, pointed out that he's finished every single Brazilian opponent he's faced in the past. With that, he envisions a similar outcome if the pair end up crossing paths:
"I’ve KO’d every Brazilian I’ve fought. I KO Charles too."
