Former ONE middleweight and light heavyweight MMA world champion 'The Burmese Python' Aung La N Sang wants to remind fans and anyone watching that he's still the same hard-hitting knockout artist as before. And he's coming back to reclaim what he lost.

Aung La N Sang is one of the biggest stars in ONE Championship. The former two-division world champ lost both his belts in a matter of months to The Netherlands' Reinier de Ridder a few years ago. The 38-year-old Myanmar proponent has been on the trail to reclaim lost glory since.

Speaking to Sportskeeda MMA in an exclusive interview, Aung La N Sang made a bold claim and sent a warning to any would-be opponent.

The veteran fighter was last seen in action against China's Fan Rong, scoring a second-round submission at ONE Fight Night 10: Johnson vs. Moraes III on Prime Video last May 2023.

That was Aung La N Sang's third straight victory and third finish in three tries. He's now looking to book another big fight when he makes his highly anticipated return to action.

Aung La N Sang wants another run at middleweight MMA gold: "It's time for me to step it up"

There's only one thing on Aung La N Sang's mind: getting his world title back by any means necessary, even if that involves facing all middleweight contenders for the gold.

He told Sportskeeda MMA:

"I do want to fight all the middleweights, you know. I'm known as a gatekeeper, but I'm ready to keep beating all [of the middleweights], you know. It's time for me to step it up and make my title run."

The reigning ONE middleweight MMA world champion is none other than three-division kingpin 'Sladkiy' Anatoly Malykhin. Aung La N Sang recently said he was open to facing the Russian mauler.
