Former UFC champion Michael Bisping trashes Andrew Tate's viral claim of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu being useless in a street fight

Michael Bisping is clearly opposed to some of Andrew Tate's opinions and recently trashed his viral claim of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu being useless in a street fight.

Michael Bisping was joined by UFC light heavyweight Anthony Smith on his YouTube channel, where he dismissed the influencer's opinion on BJJ's effectiveness. He mentioned that although he may have a point in terms of BJJ working against multiple people, it is still very much effective against one person, saying:

"I've said this before on the show, if you're fighting multiple people and you take someone down and get on top of them, yeah, of course they're friends are going to run up behind you and stick the boot to you...But in a one-on-one environment...a black-belt in jiu-jitsu versus someone that's not, I'll take the black-belt all day long...The moves that you do in jiu-jitsu are gonna kill you."

The former UFC middleweight champion also brought up that jiu-jitsu is a discipline that he even tells his son to focus on for its benefit in certain situations, saying:

"Of course, boxing, kickboxing...whatever, but If you're not the type of person that's going around getting involved in gang fights, if it's just you and someone is trying to start and be the aggressor with you, having jiu-jitsu is very bloody useful, Andrew Tate."

Tate has become a controversial figure when sharing his views on a variety of topics, especially considering the influencer has a large following.

Michael Bisping believes Paddy Pimblett lost his fight against Jared Gordon

Michael Bisping is the latest to weigh in on Paddy Pimblett's controversial unanimous decision win against Jared Gordon at UFC 282.

Michael Bisping uploaded a video to his YouTube channel, where he analyzed each round and came to the conclusion that 'Flash' should've had his hand raised, saying:

"Jared had duration of control for most of round three. Paddy landed a couple of shots but let's be honest, it was one of those rounds where people were starting to look at the phones and things like that. There wasn't a lot happening, so I think both men need to learn from that there. But for my money, it was 30-27 or 29-28 for Jared Gordon."

The decision has been heavily criticized on social media, with many believing that Gordon was robbed of a win, while Pimblett was gifted a win. It will be interesting to see whether the UFC decide to book a rematch to settle it or if they go in another direction for both.
