Former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir recently recalled an incident in training that almost led to him killing his training partner. Mir is considered by many to not only be one of the greatest UFC heavyweights, but also perhaps the greatest grappler the division has ever seen.
He achieved a number of accolades and records throughout his career in the promotion, which include the most submission wins in the heavyweight division (8) and the fastest submission victory in the division's history (45 seconds).
Speaking on a recent episode of the JAXXON PODCAST, Mir revealed how he once had Jason Miller in a guillotine choke and instead of tapping, Miller almost snapped his own neck by trying to flip himself out of the submission using the cage. Mir explained:
"I put him in a guillotine and he almost killed himself. He ran his feet up the f*cking cage, and almost tried to flip over the top of me. It was weird. So then I let it go and then I got him in a kimura and I applied it." [H/t MMA Fighting]

Francis Ngannou weighs in on potential super-fight with UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones
Francis Ngannou has offered his take on whether or not a super-fight between himself and Jon Jones is on the cards for the future.
Jones recently defended his heavyweight title for the first time when he faced Stipe Miocic at UFC 309 earlier this month. 'Bones' dominated the bout from start to finish, and reminded fans of his talents as he eventually finished Miocic following a spinning back kick towards the end of the third round.
Following Jones' victory, Ngannou spoke to TMZ Sports and spoke on whether he believes he'll ever face-off against Jones. He said:
"He [Jones] only talks about the UFC business. I think we're all about that. He's in the promotion deal and I'm in the promotion deal and if those two promotions come along and can figure out a way. Us talking about established champions or not would not help."
