Former UFC bantamweight Saidyokub Kakhramonov dropped his reaction on X to Justin Trudeau's resignation as the Prime Minister of Canada. Trudeau was facing immense pressure from his party colleagues, due to overwhelming surge in support for the opposition Conservative Party.
The 53-year-old announced an end to his nine-year tenure in a press conference outside his residence in Ottawa on Monday. Speaking to reporters, he said:
"I have informed my party and the Governor that I intend to resign as leader of the party as well as prime minister of Canada, and will do so as soon as my successor is appointed through a robust nationwide competitive process. Hereby prorogue the Parliament until March 24 in order to initiate the process of finding a new leader to lead the party and Canada until elections scheduled for later this year.”

When Joe Rogan feared for Canadian citizens if Justin Trudeau gets elected again
Last year, UFC commentator Joe Rogan said he will be keeping a close eye on the upcoming Canadian elections in October 2025. As per Rogan, the result of this election will determine whether he will step foot in the nation or not.
Notably, Rogan has been critical of Trudeau in the past and provided harsh reviews to his policies.
In his Joe Rogan Experience podcast episode with Canadian-American comedian Tom Green, the podcast host expressed concern for people's individual freedom and rights in Canada. He said:
"If [Trudeau] gets elected again, you guys are gluttons for punishment. I don’t necessarily feel that anybody should tell me that I can’t have a handgun. Especially not the government that’s already done some really shady sh*t like what they did with the truck drivers."
