It has been 20 years since Brock Lesnar survived a scary landing at WrestleMania XIX, when he attempted the shooting-star press.

Lesnar, who was competing in his first WrestleMania at the time, looked to create one of the biggest WrestleMania moments in the event's history by attempting to defeat then WWE champion Kurt Angle with a move that was typically executed by cruiserweight wrestlers.

The former UFC heavyweight champion was 290lbs and it had been a while since he had performed the maneuver, which is a remarkable feat in itself. He had executed the move perfectly during his stint in WWE's developmental system, OVW, and also performed the move during his dark matches in the months leading up to his WWE debut.

When he attempted the move at WrestleMania, it was towards the end of an action-packed match and he slipped slightly before attempting the move and wasn't able to get the full momentum to perfectly execute it. The timing error and the Olympic gold medalist being a little further away resulted in 'The Beast Incarnate' landing on his head. The commentators, Taz and Michael Cole, were obviously in shock as the landing looked nasty.

"Look at this, shooting-star press right onto his head! Oh my God! How is Lesnar not dead right now?"

They regrouped and the UFC heavyweight champion ended up finishing the match with his signature maneuver, the F5 to win the match and become the new WWE champion.

Brock Lesnar set to compete in his twelfth WrestleMania match

This weekend will see Brock Lesnar competing in the twelfth WrestleMania match of his legendary career as he takes on Omos.

The buildup to the match has seen the giant Omos overpower the former NCAA Div 1 national wrestling champion, which has led to fans rallying behind him as he looks to overcome an obstacle. 'The Beast Incarnate' remains one of the most popular WWE superstars and looks to be enjoying himself at this stage of his pro wrestling career, which hasn't always been the case in the past.

Out of the 12 WrestleMania events that he has taken part in, the former UFC heavyweight champion has main evented on 5 occasions, with his first being WrestleMania XIX in 2003.
