UFC 229: Khabib vs. McGregor Press Conference

It's hard for MMA fans to envision a scenario in which Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov set aside their animosity and share a platform. However, UFC lightweight contender Al Iaquinta has devised a novel strategy for bringing the MMA stars together.

In addition to being a former UFC 155-pound title contender, Iaquinta is a licensed real estate agent in New York State. After Max Holloway was judged medically unfit to continue cutting weight at the weigh-ins, Iaquinta was catapulted into the main event of UFC 223 to face Khabib Nurmagomedov.

'Raging' was originally scheduled to face Paul Felder on the undercard, but an unfortunate sequence of events led to him being called up to face Nurmagomedov instead. He lost the fight via unanimous decision despite putting on a resolute performance against the undefeated Dagestani phenom.

Al Iaquinta recently shared a short promotional video to market his real estate endeavor with the title, "I'm selling houses, you better call Al." The video featured audio bytes from McGregor and Nurmagomedov speaking about Iaquinta in a good light. In a video he posted on Twitter, Iaquinta wrote:

"The only two things that can bring Conor and Khabib together on a track?… Real Estate and Raging AL!"

Among the various voice samples included in the song was one of Khabib Nurmagomedov dubbing Iaquinta a "real Brooklyn gangster" for his gritty performance. The hip-hop style video's lyrics promoted his efficacy and reliability as an agent.

Sean O'Malley revisits Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov's grudge match

Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov's rivalry is here to stay. In the words of 'The Eagle,' his feud with the Irishman will "never be finished."

In their grudge match at UFC 229, the fury was evident, and Nurmagomedov's fourth-round submission victory was inadequate to settle the feud. To add to the drama, Nurmagomedov vaulted over the octagon cage to attack McGregor's teammate Dillon Danis, sparking a full-blown melee.

Recently on his YouTube channel, Sean O'Malley described the moment when Nurmagomedov jumped the cage to attack Conor McGregor's team:

"One of the most gangster [moments] was when Khabib jumped the fence....He gets done choking Conor, the referee literally had to peel his hands apart, he gets up and finds Dillon Danis, yelling at him....climed the cage and jumped at him. That's gangster!"
