Former title challenger Megan Anderson has weighed in on Israel Adesanya's future in the UFC. It all started when play-by-play commentator Jon Anik uploaded a post on X asking people who Adesanya should fight after 'The Last Stylebender' came up short at UFC 305.

Anderson responded to the query by saying that Adesanya's fighting future depends on what the 35-year-old will prioritize in his career. According to the Australian, if Adesanya intends on fighting for the title again, he should lock horns against the loser of the upcoming matchup between Robert Whittaker and Khamzat Chimaev.

Anderson added that if Adesanya's priority is to have big money fights, a showdown against former light heavyweight king Jiri Prochazka could possibly be a lucrative option:

"I feel like it really depends on the direction he wants to go now - does he want to work back to a title shot or just have big money fights at this stage of his career? If title shot - fighting the loser of Whittaker/Chimaev. If big fights - Jiri Prochazka has mentioned a potential drop to 185 [pounds]."

'The Last Stylebender' gave a good account of himself but eventually ended up losing the fight via rear-naked choke in the fourth round.

Israel Adesanya speaks about his UFC future

Former UFC champion Israel Adesanya appears uncertain about his future in the UFC. In a video uploaded to his YouTube channel, 'The Last Stylebender' reflected on his UFC 305 fight.

Speaking about his future plans, Adesanya shared that although he would be physically ready to compete again the next weekend, he's unsure about when he will actually return to action inside the octagon:

"Enjoy me while I'm here, man. Enjoy me while I fight. I started to watch the fight and literally, I was like, 'F**k, I could go again.'... I still feel good. I'm like, literally, bro, I could fight this weekend. Don't have to even make weight, I could fight this weekend but I'm like, 'Hmm, we'll see.' I just want to get back to the gym, get training againn, and then we'll reset, re-group and yeah, we'll see."
