On Feb. 1, 2025, the UFC will return to the Kingdom Arena in Saudi Arabia for another event showcasing their partnership with Riyadh Season. Earlier today, Dana White announced who will be featured in the top two fights.

Following White's announcements, fans reacted to the previously mentioned fights on a X re-post by Championship Rounds:
"Fortune to be made"
"We’re in for a treat"
"The perfect fight to see if Izzy still has it, if he can get past Imavov, who is a prospect that is well rounded then he gets back into the top of a division. If he loses then we could see Izzy vs Shara only if Shara beats MVP. Shara vs MVP, may be a bit of a boring fight though."
"These Saudi cards stay steady saving the sports 2 good fights to headline this card"
